Advanced Coaching & Diagnostics

This 2-day / 16-hour course utilizes a highly diagnostic approach to teaching and coaching the fundamentals of marksmanship using a student/coach learning environment.  The handgun is the most difficult weapon for most people to shoot well, so this class focuses mostly on the handgun.  However, some class time will be spent with patrol rifle specific problems.  All the concepts of this class are applicable regardless of the weapon-system.

The Advanced Firearms Instructor Diagnostics class provides instructors with highly effective teaching and coaching strategies.  Significant time is spent practicing new instructor skills.  We provide instructors with the ability to properly and quickly diagnose marksmanship problems.  Drills are introduced providing instructors with options to address different student learning styles in order to provide solutions to their shooters.

Advanced Firearms Instructor Diagnostics also provides instructors with tips and techniques for better shooter-instructor communication.   All students of this course will develop a complete understanding of the “how’s” and “why’s” of the fundamentals of marksmanship.  They will also be required to demonstrate the ability to effectively diagnose and coach fundamental marksmanship problems.  Detailed handouts and presentation materials will be provided.

NOTE: This course requires the use of carbines / rifles. Students don't need to be certified as a rifle instructor to attend.  However, students must have successfully completed a rifle operator certification course of 16+ hours to attend this course.
