Live-Fire Close Protection
$400
This 2-day / 16-hour instructor development course is designed to teach firearms instructors how to conduct safe live-fire range training specific to dignitary / executive protection programs. There are so many unique aspects to this specialized area of firearms training that many of them are never addressed in standard firearms instructor courses. This course focuses on the use of both pistols and rifles for low profile and high risk close protection training. Even if an agency does not have a close protection program, this is great instructor development course to attend as it gives instructors a great insight on conducting dynamic "running & gunning" range drills. Prior training or experience in close protection is NOT required to attend.
This course is approved by the NRA LE Division for 16 hours of continuing education credit.
NOTE: This course requires the use of carbines / rifles. Students don't need to be certified as a rifle instructor to attend. However, students must have successfully completed a rifle operator certification class of 16+ hours to attend this course.
