This "instructor update" course is a 1-day / 8-hour "add-on" course to pair with one of our other courses for a 2-day or 3-day training event. This course is designed to show rifle instructors the latest in shooting techniques and training methodology. A variety of ideas and philosophies will be discussed and explored among peers.

Topics include:

Review of ballistics and zeroing
Weapon presentation / shooting platform
Reloads
Malfunctions
Conventional / unconventional shooting positions
Shooting from cover
Bi-lateral shooting
Injured person techniques
Multiple target engagements
Shooting on the move
Transition to pistol
And more...

Student Required Equipment:

Semi-automatic rifle, 3 magazines, and tactical sling
Duty pistol with 3 magazines
Duty or belt holster (OWB only)
500 rounds of rifle ammunition
100 rounds of handgun ammunition
Hearing and eye protection
Hat with a brim
Weather appropriate gear
Snacks and hydration fluids

Hosting Requirements:

Classroom (for 16-20 people) with projector and screen or monitor
A 25-100 yard range / 10 lanes wide minimum
At least eight (8) portable target stands
Traffic / sport cones (8-10)
Four (4) portable cover stands
Steel targets (optional)
